Gray West Construction was founded in 1988 as an industrial builder serving customers in Southern California. A decade later, the company was part of a purchase merger with Gray, Inc. to serve an expanding industrial and commercial customer base. Over the last 21 years, our Team has grown from 50 team members serving just a handful of customers to over 200 dedicated team members managing hundreds of projects for customers across the United States. At Gray West Construction, we are consistently ranked among the top General Contractors in commercial construction and tenant improvements in both Southern California and Nationally. With all of our accomplishments over the last three decades, we are most proud of the relationships that we have built and the team that we have developed to serve our satisfied customers.
Gray West Construction is continuing to make diversity and inclusion the foundation of our team, our culture and how we approach our business. We are a diverse company and always will be. We will always strive to grow with the goal of inclusion first. We are a company where everyone is seen, heard and welcome.
We believe that diversity empowers everyone. It enriches all of us by exposing us to a multitude of ways to approach our work, engage with each other, identify challenges, and together, build solutions. Diversity is a core value of Gray West Construction.
We commit to creating a welcoming work environment for employees of all backgrounds.
We commit to encouraging employees to speak up if they experience or witness an injustice.
We commit to holding all employees to our code of conduct and diversity and inclusion program.
Gray West Construction has an aggressive program of recruiting local, small, minority-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned business enterprises and HUBZone certified firms to participate in our construction projects. Additionally, we maintain a database of minority and woman-owned suppliers throughout the United States. Our recruiting method includes developing an itemized schedule outlining work areas where S/W/MBE goals can be achieved. We do this by contacting the Chamber of Commerce for information regarding minority monthly meetings or calls. We also use pre-qualification applications to vet and document diversity status of prospective partners.
