Sephora in Downtown Disney

Gray West Construction recently completed an open store remodel for Sephora in Downtown Disney, transforming 4,461 square feet of retail space.

The scope included new partitions, an upgraded HVAC system, a new office space, and a reimagined Beauty Studio. The scope included new flooring, stockroom shelving, and fixtures, and updated power distribution for the store’s refreshed layout. The project also introduced a custom glitter wall covering designed to enhance the customer experience and highlight Sephora’s signature aesthetic.

From demolition to final finishes, every detail was managed with precision to deliver a seamless transformation within a challenging, high-traffic location. Working inside an active retail environment required meticulous coordination, flexibility, and communication. As a trusted partner to Sephora, Gray West Construction brought extensive experience in managing open store remodels within operational and restricted settings. Our team completed a full tile flooring demolition and installation in just two weeks while adhering to Disney’s strict noise and access limitations.

All work was performed between 11 PM and 6 AM, and double shifts were scheduled during a 2½ week store closure to ensure reopening on time without compromising quality. By leveraging Procore and Smartsheet, our team maintained transparent communication and efficient tracking across all phases, minimizing disruption to daily operations and ensuring project milestones were met safely and efficiently.

GWC Team Members played a critical role in navigating the challenges of working in one of the busiest destinations in Southern California. Daily coordination with Disney was led by Project Engineer, Ethan Flammang, whose proactive communication ensured smooth logistics and clearances for material deliveries and subcontractor access.

Gray West Construction has completed dozens of projects for Sephora, each reflecting our shared commitment to collaboration, transparency, and safety. The Downtown Disney remodel is an excellent example of how teamwork and expertise bring even the most complex environments to life.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with our legacy customer, Sephora for years to come!
